I’m wholeheartedly with you on the idea of joining social media sites. I don’t want a whole bunch I won’t use, a few that I check regularly and know other people are much more useful. As you say, keeping the data fresh is the key idea (and keeping up with mates!).

There’s slightly more about me out there, but that’s probably because I work in web development, and msot of the results are mailing lists and social networks (LinkedIn, facebook).
